Seeing art as a powerful post-structuralist vessel, 窦泠砚 LingYan Dou(she/her) left a career in tech to pursue her artistic vision as a writer and filmmaker. Her work investigates the intersections of queerness, Asian immigrant experience, and generational identity within a contemporary techno-socio context, with particular attention to the lived realities of Gen-Z youth. She is currently enrolled in the MFA Film Directing program at CalArts, holding a BS in Computation from UCLA.
